Your Guide To Elevating Your Style For 2024

β˜… Hello Fashionistas! How have you guys been? I am so excited for today's blog post because today we're gonna talk all things 2024 style and elevation! I am feeling really positive towards this upcoming year, and I have a good feeling that this year is going to be quite the blessing πŸ’œ

And with a new year approaching, It's the time where we all go about starting new resolutions, creating better habits, and forming greater relationships, but what about our wardrobes? When we start elevating our lives, of course, that starts from within! But now that you've done the inner work, you may want to reflect that on the outside too!

If you want an in-depth post on elevating your appearance, I highly recommend reading this post, but without further ado, we're now going to get into how to elevate your style for 2024!

1. Start Off With A Fresh Wardrobe

Out with the old, in with the new as they say! When a new year starts, we should all declutter our lives physically, mentally, and digitally, and when it comes to wanting to elevate your style, It's a good idea to get rid of the old clothes that you do not need/want in order to make room for the new!

I have quite an old, yet highly effective post on cleaning out your closet, so if you want more tips on this, here's the link

2. Gather Your Inspiration

Now that you have room for your new season of fashion, it is time to gather information for the style/aesthetic that you may be wanting to go for! As a disclaimer, you do not need to stick to just one aesthetic! I realize that social media is super heavy on aesthetics, but wear what you like, and don't worry about what anyone else says!

Pinterest is the QUEEN of inspiration, so I highly recommend opening up the app and delving into its endless loop of style, fashion, and beauty!

3. Go Thrifting

Before you spend lots of money on your new style whether in-person or on your favorite online shops, you should check out your local thrift shops! They are great for finding at the very least the basics that you need, and you might surprised at the things you find! I have a couple of different posts on the topic of thrifting, but if you wanted an updated guide, just let me know!

4. Learn From The Best

If you know of a certain influencer or celebrity that wears a lot of the same style that you are trying to go for, I highly recommend analyzing their outfits and taking inspiration from them! No, I do not mean copying, because that's kinda weird! But I do mean analyzing the way they mix-and-match certain pieces, what accessories they pair together, and what color combos they use that way you have a good start to any type of outfit in that style/aesthetic.

I of course had to use a picture of my fave girl, Ariana Grande, because she's a style icon! Did you guys see her pop-up at Mariah's concert the other day? I am still shook!

5. Add Your Own Flair

When switching up your style, the most important step is making sure that you have fun and that you are being true to yourself! Just because everybody else is wearing a certain style and it's all the rage, it doesn't mean that you have to participate!

Your quirks, personality traits, and interests are what make you, YOU! πŸ’œ Never conform!

But if you do decide to take inspiration from a specific style genre, make sure that you are incorporating the pieces, colors, and textures that you like, so your outfits can truly be a reflection of you!

That's all for today's post on Your Guide To Elevating Your Style For 2024! I hope that you found this guide helpful, and that you are able to use it as you experiment with your style in the new year!

With that being said, here is our weekly bible verse!
Romans 12: 2 (NIV) "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."

The real ones know that I've already done a Short on the topic of this verse on my YouTube channel πŸ˜‰
In a way, I suppose this is like a face reveal, haha! I don't really think that I'm going to incorporate my IRL self too often into my blog, so if you want to see more of me and if you enjoy faith-based content, I'd love if you stuck around on my YouTube channel as well!

Now let's get back into the verse: This verse is specifically telling us not to conform to the pattern of this world! That means we must not be falling into the same sin that the rest of the world so easily falls into! When we give our lives to Christ, we are making the decision to try our hardest to live like Jesus, and that means leading a Holy life! Whether we struggle with lust, worry, greed, anger, pride, jealousy, or any other sins, we must make it our intention to transform our minds so that we do not easily fall into the hands of the enemy!

  1. Hey girl!✨ I thoroughly enjoyed reading this post this morning! I def need to declutter my closet once again and I will never forget your tip from last year to flip your hangers with whatever you wear! I’m going to try to implement that in 2024! Also, I would LOVE to see another post on thrifting w/ more entail!😁

I totally agree with you to enjoy the style that makes us who we are and what we like to wear, which ties into the scripture that we should NOT conform into the ways of the world, but be ye transformed by the renewal of our MIND! Therefore, this year I will keep my aesthetic of what I like and maybe add a few things that are trending or more relevant to today’s fashion and be myself as I follow Christ! Awesome post girl! (& I’m the OG who saw that short πŸ˜‰)
