How To Style The Famous "Clean Girl" Aesthetic

 

Hello Fashionistas! In today's blog post, I am going to give you some tips and inspiration on how you can style the famous "Clean Girl Aesthetic"! This aesthetic is all over the internet and used by a wide range of celebrities, one of which is Hailey Bieber. This aesthetic is known for its neutral colors, classy clothing items (i.e., blazers), minimalist makeup, and its gold jewelry pieces.

While this aesthetic may not be for everyone, it is a great option if you are a girl who is a fan of neutrals, loves business-casual or if you are always in a school or work setting! 

Another plus of this aesthetic is that generally it doesn't take a lot of work to achieve - it just looks like it!

And, after reading this post you'll know just how to recreate these boss-babe looks!

Have The Core Pieces 

Making sure to invest in clothing like blazers, gold jewelry and some nice shades will really help you achieve these looks!

I don't know about you, but when I see a matching set, I instantly think that you've got your stuff together! If you want a veryyyyy simple way to achieve a stylish look simply, your matching sweat sets will be your best friend! Plus, they're comfortable! So, make sure you wear matching sets often or invest in some right now! 

Balance It Out

What I mean by "balance it out" is don't be afraid to add hints of streetwear or other styles! Considering the fact that most of you probably reading this are fairly young, don't feel as though you have to wear a "serious" outfit all the time! You can pair clean girl looks with your favorite Jordan's, t-shirts and more!

If All Else Fails, Keep It Simple

The clean girl is all about keeping it effortless, so think as she would and don't put too much thought into it! Pair those baggy pants with that top and throw a blazer over it! Throw on that oversized hoodie! Put your hair in a slick bun!

Forever a staple, and forever an item that screams "put together" and "I don't care" at the same time! If your goal is to look like you spent 30 minutes preparing an outfit when in reality you've only spent 5, do yourself a favor and buy some black sunnies. 

Wear Gold

Gold is just something that screams luxury, and the clean girl is all about that luxurious and effortless lifestyle. And before anyone says, "I don't have enough money for gold jewelry" A, you can buy knock-off gold jewelry, and B, there are plenty of places where you can buy cheap gold jewelry that is used.

If you are buying any cheaper jewelry which you know isn't real, a good thing for you to do is check if it has non-tarnishing properties and is good for sensitive skin (no necks turning green and no irritation)

Have Neat Hair

We all have our bad hair days but try to keep those to a minimum! Make sure you are washing your hair often (according to your hair type), brushing your hair and not exposing it to too much heat damage. Additionally, make sure you are styling your hair - this can be simple! Brushing it, putting it into a bun, braiding it, doing a ponytail, just little things like that to amp up how you are perceived to the world.

Make Sure Your Eyebrows Are Nice & Neat

No, you do NOT have to get your eyebrows done at a salon if you don't want to! I don't personally, and I think that is fine! You are saving yourself an expense! 

But what I do mean by this is make sure you are brushing your eyebrow hairs down in place! You can use a new toothbrush to do this, or if you have an eyebrow makeup kit, they generally have a two-sided brush, with one side for this purpose! Also, I hear a lot about people who use ChapStick to keep their eyebrow hairs tamed!

Have Flawless Nails

I have never had my nails done before professionally (although I really want to!) but, when I feel like dolling them up a little bit, I either paint them, use nail strips, or I wear press-ons! 

If you are going to do any of these options, make sure you are keeping your nail choices classy. Clean girl is all about using neutral colors, so those are never a bad route to go! You can still wear other colors (ex: red) but try not to have super busy designs that distract from the whole vibe that you are going for.
