Hello Fashionistas! In today's post I am going to be giving you some job interview outfit inspiration! A lot of us are at the ages where we are already working or highly considering it, so I feel as though this post will come in handy for you! The outfits featured in this post can also apply for college interviews as well!
So, what are we waiting for? Let's get into the outfits!
Disclaimer: All pictures used are not my own and I hold no rights to them whatsoever.
1. The Classic Blazer & Slacks Combo
I am highly convinced that blazers are a piece in fashion that will always be totally timeless and irreplaceable! Blazers are cute, perfect for interviews and are a very simple way you can get your outfit to scream "workwear"!
2. Blazer + Dress
Blazers don't always need to be paired with slacks! They can also be paired with dresses and skirts as well! This outfit is super chic and I love the monochromatic color scheme! This photo leaves a blank canvas, perfect for adding statement jewelry (silver or gold) and if this were me, I would likely add a nice leather belt to cinch the waist of the dress!
3. Blouse and Trousers
This look is one that fits Dark Academia style wonderfully! From the monochromatic hues to the simple pieces and accessories, this outfit is absolutely perfect for an interview! It is simple, modest and very professional!
4. A Blouse and a Maxi Skirt
Depending on the place the interview will be set, I think a maxi skirt is a beautifully luxurious piece you can add to any interview outfit to create a soft feminine look!
THE DON'TS OF INTERVIEW OUTFITS
Now that I've showed you a couple of different interview outfit styles, let's get into what you should not wear when attending an interview.
- Do not wear immodest/provocative pieces.
- Do not wear jeans (at the very least don't wear ones with rips)
- Do not wear hats.
- Do not wear casual pieces, such as T-shirts.
- Do not wear open-toe shoes.
- Do not wear overly bold colors and patterns that could be distracting.
- Optional: Try to reduce the amount of openly evident piercings you wear. Earrings are fine, but nose, eyebrow, tongue and belly piercings may be looked down upon.
That's all for today's post on job interview outfits! With that, let's get right into our weekly bible verse!
Proverbs 31:26 (NIV): She speaks wisdom and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
In this verse, God is saying that this woman is one who speaks with wisdom! She does not spread false teachings to another, and she certainly doesn't belittle or push others down! All the words she speak come from a place of love! As we all know, life and death is in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21) so if you are currently struggling with controlling your tongue, take some time today to pray and ask God to give you patience and peace. Ask Him to let you only have good, wise and kind words come out of your mouth whether that is towards friends, teachers, parents and even others online!
We as Women of God need to set a good example to others by being wise in our actions and always being kind in what we say!

Hey girl; I love dressing up professionally and I always have presentations for my classes. My fav combo is the blazer and slacks combo. Also, I occasionally wear a dress with a cute blazer to give it a more professional look!✨
ReplyDeleteAmen to the weekly bible verse! Being a wise woman according to the Bible is something that I need to work on. Holding your tongue to gather your thoughts and pray is imperative to do before going back to that particular person who said/did something that offended you. Sometimes, it’s best to not say anything and that person may even come back and apologize! But, we should be wise w/ our words and our actions before we react.
Lovely blog Toni; keep it up girl☺️✨
Thank you so much! Yes, a blazer and dress combo is lovely as well! And everything you said regarding the bible verse is SO true. We definitely need to take a step back and allow ourselves some time before responding to others in a tense conversation! We as Women of God need to act and react with grace and a nurturing nature. I feel as though this also steps into the topic of femininity and women needing to be a bit more submissive when it comes to reacting to keep the peace in situations. It is so great to be empowered and strong, but it doesn't hurt to react with a calm and peaceful response. Definitely something we can all aspire to work on this week and beyond! 💜
