How To Style Boots

Hello fashionistas! Today's post is all about How To Style Boots! Boots are an essential Fall & Winter component! They are also great year-round shoes because you can style them in many different ways!

Plus, there are so many different styles! Over the knee, thigh high, combat, cowboy, platform, wedge... the list goes on!

So, without further ado let's get into how to style them!

Shorts

Okay, so you may not be able to wear shorts in extreme Winter temps, but shorts are a super cute addition to boots - over the knee boots especially! Let's look at some examples:

See what I mean? Super cute!

You could possibly get away with wearing shorts in the Fall with these boots just because they cover most of your leg. But if that's not your thing, you can still always wear tights underneath and have the same effect!

Wearing shorts with boots gives interest because the proportions are contrasting!

Skinny Jeans

Whether you think skinny jeans are in or out, I think we can all agree that boots look great with skinny jeans!

No matter what style boot you wear, skinny jeans look great with them! You can go ripped or not, your choice, but with a huge jacket the visual interest is great!

Oversized Jackets

Now this one ladies, is of course perfect for Winter and definitely probably one of you guys' favorites! Warm, cozy and oversized, these jackets will keep you warm and will definitely make a fashion statement!

Oversized jackets are always great and are perfect for the "boyfriend look" which I referenced in my last post!

Neutrals

Neutral colors are great with boots, whether you think they're boring or not! This is because usually if you go shopping for boots right now, you'll see a vast array of browns, whites and blacks, so if you're looking for a simple way to make an outfit featuring boots look stylish, neutral colors are the way to go!

Minimalistic and elegant! Perfect for the office, a job interview or a fancy night out!

Patterns

If you want something more bold then neutrals, patterns are gonna be your best friend! Although most boots come in neutrals, you can also find some with patterns as well! And, if you don't have patterned boots, just use patterns in your clothing! Patterns will definitely help you stand out, very simply! No effort required- throw on something with a pattern and you are immediately making a fashion statement!
