How To Get Ready For Back To School Season... In Style!

 

Hey everyone! With back to school literally just around the corner we're all in need of some cute and trendy looks! So if you're going back to school soon and want to amp up your style, this post is for you!

(and for all of my remote learners, just use these as tips you can apply to your everyday fashion <3) 

1. Start with you! I know from a fashion blog, you're likely expecting me to go straight into the clothing side of things... but to look good you have to feel good, so I recommend doing some self-care (taking a bath, washing your face, doing your nails, etc), then work on your clothing!

2. Go shopping! (If possible) Many times for a new school season we have a certain budget we can use to shop, whether that is for new clothes, shoes, etc. So, if you're fortunate enough to be able to do so, shop with intent! Got a certain aesthetic? Shop within those guidelines! Want a certain color scheme? Get clothes that match it!

3. Plan your outfits ahead of time! Trust me, nothing is worse than rushing in the morning without knowing what you're gonna wear! Planning your outfits ahead of time helps you to be more organized and to create cuter looks! If you want some tips on this, I recommend reading this post!

4. If step 2 isn't an option for you, no worries! Simply reuse the clothes that you do have! (Talk about sustainability!) The simple act of cleaning off your shoes, washing your clothes and doing a little DIY to your clothing will do wonders! 

5. Accessorize! Sometimes an outfit can go from "so-so" to "great!" when you add a little bit of accessories! Adding a pair of earrings, a necklace or some rings can really elevate a look! If you want some tips on accessorizing, I recommend reading these posts!

6. Use statement pieces! For all of those who wear uniforms to school (Yes, I didn't forget about you!!) statement pieces are great! Wearing a cute headband, having a cute purse, nice shoes, etc will really help you create a lasting impression, without even needing the outfit! 7. Don't overdo it! It's easy to get caught up in aesthetics and making sure you look good, but remember - school is about EDUCATION! it's completely fine if you don't have the cutest outfit ever! What matters is that you're in school and you're learning!

8. Lastly, make sure you're wearing and shopping for clothes that fit the setting, occasion and guidelines that are present as to not violate rules or dress inappropriately!
