With all of that being said, let's get into today's blog post!

Ch. 1 - Mentality
Having the "it girl" supermodel mentality isn't always going to be easy, but it is crucial to unlocking the best version of you!
I like to categorize it into 5 main pillars:
☆ Positivity
☆ Gratitude
☆ Confidence
☆ "It Is What It Is"
☆ "Comparison Is The Thief of Joy"
Let's break down each of these pillars together!
Positivity
Placing a smile on your face is free and it looks great you! I don't care if you have the "perfect" smile, a gap, braces, etc... smiling is beautiful, and it enhances your face greatly!
When we place positivity as one of the most important factors in our lives, it improves our mental health tremendously.
One thing that I will note is: Your past should not have the power to define how you live in the present.
So why am I saying this? This is because a lot of women, including myself at some point, have or have had the limiting belief that things that have happened or things that were said in the past still make up who they are now, and that is just NOT true, especially if those things said were false, or if you have changed your ways from the things that you have done in the past.
Let's do a deep dive:
"A crush said I was ugly when I was 13, so that means I'm ugly."
"A classmate said my eyes looked funny."
"Because I once did ____, I'm not a good person."
Shall I continue?
Get rid of these limiting beliefs.
I mean it. Once you rid yourself of these things that hold you in that dark pit you are so comfortable lying in, will you finally start feeling like yourself.
This can be a hard thing to do, especially when you are constantly beating yourself up, but here are a couple of things that have and do help me currently:
☆ When you catch yourself thinking something negative about yourself, flip the script and say aloud something positive instead (ex: "I'm so ugl-" ---> "I'm a beautiful woman made in God's image.")
☆ Instead of getting consumed by your negative thoughts, write them down - then you'll realize how false they actually are.
☆ Go to a trusted friend or family member and bring up how you feel (do so with caution - some people aren't good motivators, or just aren't to be trusted in general). You'll be surprised at their response and how differently they feel about you than you do (ex: "I can't believe you are thinking you're ugly? You're the prettiest friend I have!")
GRATITUDE
Practice having gratitude from the moment that you wake up! Simply by saying "Thank you God", reciting The Lord's Prayer, and just listing out some of the things that you are grateful for in the morning can be so impactful on how you view the things and the situations around you as you go about your day! I do all 3 of these every morning, including logging onto my bible app before I check anything else on my phone, and I can honestly see the change that it has been making in my mindset!
Another thing that I like to do is positively affirm myself - now you can stop there, but I find that biblically affirming myself is quite impactful. Simply stating things such as "I am a loved child of God", "I am blessed by the Lord", "Today will be great because God is guiding my footsteps"...all will help you to grow into a grateful and more positive woman!
CONFIDENCE
Having confidence in oneself is necessary, and the great thing about it is - it looks different on everybody, and that is ok. I personally prefer a quiet confidence - I never do too much! I can be the quietest person in the room and let my actions speak for me, but if you are more of the center of attention "all eyes on me" type, that's fine too! We all are different, and we all showcase our traits in a different manner.
And of course, as your dream girl, IT girl, supermodel self, having confidence is crucial!
Here are a couple of tips that I have compiled on how you can achieve higher levels of confidence:
☆ Embrace who you are, as you are. All your features are as they should be, and although there is nothing wrong with enhancing them, you should never wish to look like somebody else. Taking inspiration is fine, but don't lose your sense of self. You are beautiful as you are!
☆ Practice self-care. When you take care of yourself to the highest degree possible, you'll feel a lot better about how you look, because that confidence radiates from the inside out.
☆ Like the tip mentioned above, eating well will help your confidence radiate. When you choose the right meals that make you feel good, you'll be more likely to have a sense of confidence.
☆ Working out has the same effect! I work out for 30 minutes to an hour each morning, and it truly helps set the tone for my day. While I am not working out to see an immediate change, just knowing that I am working for a better me makes me so much more confident, even if no one else can see it - it is like a little secret just between you!
"It Is What It Is"
Cultivating an "it is what it is" mindset is quite helpful for some - including myself! It is a pretty self-explanatory concept, yet it can be negative if you do not use it properly, which is something that I am just now learning on my journey!
When having this mindset, you shouldn't just sit back and allow bad things to happen to you, but instead you should start thinking that "although bad things are happening to me, I have the power to change the narrative and improve."
When thinking like this, although you may experience a rough patch in life, you don't allow it to control you. You simply think "it is what it is", life goes on, and we can only go up from here.
Examples of using this mindset:
☆ Your boyfriend just broke up with you: "It is what it is - it is ok for me to cry and feel sad for a while, but him not choosing me does not affect my worth or my ability to be loved by another. I can grow from this experience and learn from my past mistakes or the red flags that I happened to notice while in this relationship."
☆ You just failed a test: "It is what it is" - although I could have done better, I did what I was able to do at the moment. From this test experience and the ways that I was not properly prepared, I can take what I now know and apply it to my next exam to ensure that I do better.
You see how simply stating "it is what it is" and reassuring yourself/motivating yourself that you can do better works to build positivity? Instead of just sitting in your problems and feeling down on yourself, with this mindset you are allowing yourself to properly work through them and find solutions.
"Comparison is the thief of joy"
We've all heard of this saying before, and this is for good reason!
When we constantly compare ourselves to other women, we are discounting the features and the beauty that make us - us! We are all so beautiful in our own ways, and how I see it is - if this "thing" is something that cannot be changed in 5 minutes or less, we shouldn't compare ourselves to another woman who has what we are coveting.
I realize how vague that might sound, but basically what I mean is - say you want to have full lips like Kylie Jenner. Well, are you born with full lips? Was Kylie born with full lips? (no) Can you fix that about yourself in 5 minutes? Ok... so don't beat yourself up about it.
And of course, you can use a plumping lip gloss in this example or even get injections if that is a feature that you truly want, but what I mean by not beating yourself up about it, is don't get so focused on the thing or the physical feature that you want, that you lose sight of the beauty that is already there!
You can want something new without being ungrateful for what has already been given.
This statement can go for clear skin, long hair, a slim waist, toned legs, straight teeth...the list goes on! It is ok to want and to do "better" for yourself, but never forget that your natural beauty and where you are now is just as beautiful!

Ch. 2 - The Physical Aspect
One thing about a supermodel is they are always gonna look and feel at their best! Makeup or no-makeup! And although you may not be a runway model, you deserve this too!
Here's a couple of the basics:
☆ Have a good morning and nighttime skincare routine. Even having the most basic routine that consists of a cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF (morning only) will do wonders for your skin.
☆ Using a gua sha and jade roller to smooth and shape your face
☆ Icing your face in the mornings to reduce puffiness
☆ Having a shower routine consisting of your soap of choice, a scrub, and a shower gel
☆ Properly moisturizing your skin after a shower and applying perfume
☆ Either painting your nails or going to the nail salon
☆ Maintaining your hair by washing it and applying protective styles
If you do all of these steps, you're golden! You'll feel so amazing, refreshed, and beautiful in your natural state! All of these cost little to nothing, and some of these steps can use homemade products to reduce cost even more, since we're all about being budget-friendly here!

Ch. 3 - Supermodel Style
As a supermodel, your main goal is to stay comfortable, all while being cute after long hours on the runway. The best thing about supermodel street style is that you can easily replicate these looks with affordable items that you likely already have in your closet!
Let's explore some different ways that you can embrace supermodel style:
☆ Little top, big pants
Having a form-fitting top and a slouchy fit on your lower half with a baggy pair of jeans is such an effortlessly stylish look, especially with an eye-catching belt!
☆ Having a pattern that pops
Surprisingly enough, if you search up "supermodel street style" you'll see quite a few outfits that feature a plain white shirt and a simple pair of trousers. Most of these outfits are easily elevated with a contrasting pattern that draws your attention to the outfit. In this case, Kendall's scarf is this element.
☆ Leather
Leather is such a mature and sexy element that can truly take an outfit up a notch. Adding a leather coat, skirt, or purse can take your outfit from a 1 to a 10!
☆ Sunglasses
You will hardly ever see supermodel, Naomi Campbell without sunglasses in her day-to-day street style. Having a classic sunglasses look that you wear on the daily can have an impactful look on any outfit!

That is all for my post on "how to look and feel like a supermodel!"
Wow guys, that was a lot wasn't it? I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I know it was a longer one, but I truly believe that every bit of it was valuable, especially for all of us women who want to become the best versions of ourselves in 2024.
With that being said, it is now time for our weekly bible verse which is on Ecclesiastes Chapter 3, Verse 11.
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end."
This verse is one that beautifully describes exactly how God works. It showcases just how well and how perfectly God crafts, and has crafted, everything and everyone in this world. God has reigned in the past, he is reigning in the present, and He will forever reign in the future.
While we may not be able to truly grasp how beautiful God has mas made everything and everyone in and on His divine timing, what we can trust is that the Lord is orchestrating everything as it should be, so we should just be able to rest in His grace & truly bask in His glory π
