Winter is the perfect season for traveling because you can spend these Winter holidays close to loved ones, so I hope that if you're planning on traveling you'll be able to find these tips useful!
With that being said, let's get into it!

Section 1 - Making The Most of Space
1. Roll Your Clothes
Rolling your clothes is a very effective way to make sure you can pack as many clothes as possible in your suitcase/bag. I highly recommend doing so! Not only does it save space, it also reduces wrinkles!
2. Use Packing Cubes
Packing cubes are a great way to separate your clothing by category or specific outfit. They're also really great for avoiding accidental spills and marks from other objects in your bag. If you don't have packing cubes, I highly recommend using old packaging from your online shopping! They are just as effective.
3. Wear Your Heaviest Clothing Items on the Day Of Travel
Wearing your heaviest items on your plane ride or on your road trip is a highly effective strategy because you aren't going to have to pack those bulky items in your suitcase. I do this often with my shoes and/or coats!
Section 2 - Packing Intentional & Cute Outfits
When packing for a trip, there a few factors that you need to take note of:- The weather for the upcoming days in your designated area of travel
- For which occasion you may need a specific piece (ex: swimming = x amount of bathing suits)
- How many days & nights that you are staying
With all of these being accounted for, we can now indulge in the fun stuff!
When you take the weather and your designated area of travel into consideration, packing good outfits for your trip is a lot easier! For example, if you're gonna be hiking in the Winter, you know you'll need a good pair of boots and warm layers. If you're gonna go be under the warm rays of the Bahamas, you know you'll need some tanks and flowy skirts!
Although these tips will need to be tweaked based on these personal factors, here are a couple of tips you can use when planning your travel wardrobe!
1. Determine The Setting
If you're aware of your travel agenda, you need to make sure you are planning outfits to fit into that! Will you need an outfit to walk the boardwalk, or do you need one for a fancy dinner? Make sure you are taking the setting into consideration!
2. Don't Bring Too Many Shoes
Coming from experience, it is a must that you don't bring more shoes than you can pack! Overall it can be such an inconvenience, because they can take up a lot of space!
Make sure that (according to the settings/events you will be participating in) that you bring at least:
- 1 pair of neutral sneakers (or ones that are color-coordinated to each of your outfits)
- 1 pair of heels
- 1 pair of slippers (optional)
And of course, that list would also include flip-flops for example, if you are attending a beach trip!
3. Plan Your Accessories
Planning your accessories ahead of time is a great practice when traveling! Additionally, make sure you don't pack too many of each, since they are such easy items to lose! When traveling I like to rotate between 1-3 jewelry rotations to stay organized.
4. Color-Coordinate
Having a consistent theme in your travel wardrobe is such an easy hack to make sure that each outfit looks put-together every time! Not only does this mean you need to pack less items like shoes and accessories, since everything matches, it's also great because if you happen to lose any certain item, you can still put together a look that is flawless!
5. Plan Your Travel Aesthetic
Planning ahead of time on sites like Pinterest is such a great way to get inspiration for your travels! I highly recommend creating a vision board that fits the vibe you want to go for on your next trip!
That is all for today's post on How To Create a Travel Wardrobe That You'll Love
I hope this post gave you some great inspiration for any upcoming travels you may have!
With that being said, here's our weekly bible verse:
Proverbs 31:25 (NIV) "She is clothed in strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come"
No matter what trials and tribulations that may try to overtake you today, tomorrow, next week, or anywhere in the future, just know that you are clothed with strength and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper! (Isaiah 54:17)
One of the enemy's biggest lies that he likes to tell is that...you guessed it, you're alone. But that is far from the truth! God is always with you, and He is always willing to listen! Lean on Him, and let His strength comfort you! π
