How To Dress To Impress For Fall Events

โ˜…
Hello Fashionistas! In today's post I am going to be giving you the complete blueprint on how to dress for fall events! This post ties in perfectly with my latest post on Your Complete Guide To Fall Fashion, but this post dives even deeper into how you can style outfits for a large variety of events for Autumn!

The Fall is the perfect time to start getting out and spending time with family and friends! From fairs and picnics to pumpkin picking and going to orchards and drinking cider, Fall is not only cozy, but perfect for fashion!

With that being said, let's get into how you can unlock gorgeous fall looks for a variety of events! ๐Ÿ‚

1. Picnics

Picnics are a peaceful way to spend a Fall evening, whether with friends or on a date! Considering you're going to be in the elements, I'd recommend wearing an outfit that fully covers your body to help keep warm and shield yourself from mosquitos!

There are so many different avenues you can explore with casual, yet modest Fall outfits and you can really unlock your inner Rory Gilmore with simple pieces such as:

  • Sweaters
  • Headbands
  • Scarves
  • Blazers
  • Pleated Skirts

2. Orchards

If you're going to an orchard of any kind, you have a perfect photoshoot spot! So if you're planning on taking cute pictures for your Instagram, you're going to want to color-coordinate with your surroundings! You can keep it minimal like pictured, or you can pop in elements of orange, red, or yellow to match the variety of colors around the orchard!

3. Fairs

When planning to go to the fair, I highly stress making sure you are wearing an outfit that you can comfortably walk in! On top of that, stay away from skirts if you're planning on going on any rides that'll have you in the air!

A little Fall outfit checklist for fairs should include:

  • Sneakers (not heels, especially since most fairs are in grassy/hilly areas)
  • A small bag like a crossbody purse or fanny pack to store your belongings
  • A hair tie & brush to fix your hair after going on a ride
  • A jacket (it gets cold towards the night, so make sure you're prepared!)

4. Football Games

When going to a Football game, you can be as lowkey or as extravagant as you'd like! If you have a certain team that you're rooting for, I'd highly recommend coordinating your outfit to the team colors that way you can show off your love for the team! You can show this with temporary hair dye/sprays, hair ties, accessories, and of course a team jersey/shirt!

If you aren't a football fanatic but still find yourself going to a game, you can still look cute! Wear a nice casual outfit and let your jacket and accessories do the talking!

5. Dinner/A Night Out

If you have a fancy event that you're going to, incorporating a Fall color scheme is never a bad idea! If you're trying to go the classier route, a toned down monochrome moment like featured in the photo above is a perfect choice! If you want a more playful look, oranges and yellows are a great way to convey that!

The most important part of creating a Fall night-out look is the jacket! Your jacket is going to be covering your entire outfit most of the evening unless you are indoors, so if possible make sure you have a warm, yet cute jacket to pair with your outfit! On top of that, make sure you are accessorizing lightly, yet effectively! I've found that gold looks gorgeous with Fall colors, so I definitely recommend it for your necklaces, earrings, and bracelets!

That's all for today's post! I hope you guys enjoyed it and will use it as some inspiration for any upcoming Fall events you'll be attending! With this being said, let's get right into our weekly bible verse!

Jeremiah 17:7 (NIV): "But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him."

This verse specifically highlights trusting in God! By doing so, we will receive blessings in our lives. How often have we all heard the saying, "I have to see it to believe it"? A lot, right? But what if I told you that God works in the background? We don't need to see God to experience His blessings, we just have to BELIEVE that He is working for the good in our lives. So instead of stressing, trust and put your confidence in God and that he will see you through!

What's your favorite Fall Event?
