Hello Fashionistas! In today's blog post I'm going to be covering some noticeable style mistakes that I'm sure we've all made before! Don't stress if you make these mistakes! This post is just here to help you look a bit more put together by not doing these simple things!
With that, let's get into today's post!

1. Tuck Your Pockets In
This is such a simple thing that you can do before leaving the house! No one wants to look broke, so a simple way to help make yourself look more presentable is to tuck in your pockets!
2. Fold Your Collar
If you're planning on wearing a blouse or a jacket that has a collar, make sure it is equally folded all around to help yourself look more presentable!
3. Wear Clothing With Good Fabric Quality
If you've had a vest like this one above or have bought a cheap jacket or pair of sweatpants, you've likely experienced pilling. This is when tiny little fuzz-balls appear on your clothing. This usually comes after a wash! There are ways to fix this problem, but if you're too lazy to do so, try not to wear clothing that has pilling and eventually invest in higher quality pieces that won't have this problem.
4. Stop Wearing Wrinkled Clothing
Please, please, please do not step out of the door with wrinkled clothing! If you already have an outfit planned, make sure it is wrinkle-free the night before. If it isn't - quickly iron it over, or as an alternative if you're planning on taking a hot shower, hang the clothing in the bathroom with you. If the shower is hot enough the steam will help get rid of the wrinkles!
5. Stop Wearing Something Just Because It's A Trend
Don't get me wrong - trends are what make the fashion industry go 'round and they help us discover new designers and styles! But.... they can be a catch 22. Why? If you spend so much time following trends, you'll get wrapped up in a popularity contest instead of knowing what your actual style is!
What I'm saying here is there is nothing wrong with buying something that's trending, but make sure you actually like it before you buy it! Here's an example of a trend that I still can't get on board with....CROCS! I have hated Crocs from the jump, so when they started coming back this past couple years I was shocked! And they are definitely still a no for me!

6. Showing Too Much Skin
Not gonna comment on this one too much, because I know people have different standards for what is considered "too much" but just make sure you're dressing in what makes you feel comfortable and not for anyone else's gaze.
1 Timothy 2: 9-10 NIV "I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God."
7. Clean Your Shoes
Just because you don't have the newest pair of kicks doesn't mean they still can't be cute! You can machine wash specific pairs of shoes (read the label first), you can soak them in soap and water, or you can go for the good old baking soda and toothbrush route which is super easy! Cleaning off your shoes is a super simple, yet great step in looking more put-together!
8. Stop Wearing Too Much Jewelry
This may work for the celebrities with their thousands of dollars' worth of diamonds on, but for us average folks it ends up looking cheap. Choose a couple of different jewelry items and avoid going overboard!
9. Avoid Putting On Too Much Perfume
We all know that one girl in class who's Bath and Body Works perfume we can smell from a mile away. Let's not be that girl. Spritz a modest amount of perfume and keep it moving!
10. Stop Wearing Obnoxiously Long Nails
Unpopular opinion? Maybe so, but if you want to be respected in the workplace and actually be able to function, keep the nails at a natural length!
