What To Wear To A Holiday Event

Hello Fashionistas! Christmas is right around the corner, and if you have any special plans, you're gonna need a special outfit

Holiday parties are a time where you can be a little bit more extravagant! You can wear bold colors, fun makeup looks and your fanciest jewelry! But, sometimes it can be a little hard figuring out how to pull together a look that is fun, while fitting the event and your personal style!

But, look no further! In today's post I'll be sharing my top styling tips for Christmas parties/holiday events!

So, without further ado, let's get into today's post!

Have An Outfit For The Setting

When styling an outfit, you have to take into consideration the weather! So if you know the event you are going to is going to be set outdoors, definitely make sure you plan on wearing a coordinating jacket! Also, be aware of the fact if the event is going to be fancy or casual! You don't want to show up in a casual outfit to a black-tie event and vice-versa!

Wear A Midi Or Maxi Dress

Holiday events are usually pretty classy, so make sure you keep the length on your dress modest if that's the route you are going!

Holiday dresses are super easy to find this time of year in stores - they also usually feature details like embroidered elements, lace, etc which really elevate the look!

Don't Shy Away From Pants!

This one isn't exactly a style tip, but I feel like it is necessary to say! If you aren't the type of girl who likes wearing dresses, or would rather like to keep your legs warm in the cold that is absolutely no problem! I personally recommend any type of pant that is high-waisted, flared, or of leather material for a holiday event because they look more high-end!

Wear Silver Jewelry

I don't know what it is about silver jewelry, but it just works - especially with colors like red and green! It is also a great way to add some shine to your outfits, as well as coordinate it with your makeup!

If all else fails, KEEP IT BASIC

I feel like so many people hate the idea of holiday parties just because of the simple fact that there is so much color and you naturally feel inclined to wear a bright red, green or silver shimmery dress! And in reality- you don't have to! You can create a holiday look in neutrals and still shine!

Add A Blazer

We've all seen the clean girl trend, and we've all seen how easily a blazer makes an outfit look put together! So, if you're stuck and not sure what to wear, how about adding a blazer?

That's all for today's post! What route will you guys be going for a holiday event? Fancy or casual?

  1. Yesss! I absolutely love this; My fav is the fit with the pants. I’m not really a girl who loves to wear dresses all the time, so this style is so convenient and cute!😍✨
