Hey everyone! First of all - Happy Easter! Also, can you believe that this is the 50th post on SBT? It's crazy! I can't wait till we get to our 100th!😉
Today's post is all about How To Have A Minimalistic Wardrobe.
Ever heard of minimalism?
If you haven't don't worry - Here's what it is! Minimalism basically means cutting all the clutter and only focusing on the things that you feel serve a purpose. By being a minimalistic person, you live intentionally.
You can practice this both in your life, and in your wardrobe! This way of thinking not only saves you a few bucks, but it also helps you to be more sustainable and helps you to reduce your ecological footprint!
So without further ado, here are my top tips on how you can create your very own minimalistic wardrobe!
1. Take out all of your clothes and see what you're working with. What clothes do you wear the most? Is there a trend in those certain clothes? (fabrics, style, etc) Once you see what clothes you know you never wear, you can start decluttering! You can give them away as hand-me-downs to a younger sibling or you can even give them away to a thrift shop! Whatever works for you!
2. Have a special event and you need to buy a dress you know you'll never wear again? Try borrowing instead of buying! This way you don't get stuck with clothes you'll never wear again, plus you aren't spending money on the wrong things!
3. When you go shopping for new clothes, bring a checklist! It's easy to buy something just because you think It's cute, but do you really need another pair of shoes? Do you really need another pair of shorts? Think about these things before you pull out your wallet!
4. When shopping, pair down your items to certain colors and fabrics that you know you'll be able to mix-and-match. This will help you not have to buy a whole bunch of different outfit essentials so you won't be cluttering your closet and you won't be breaking the bank either.
5. Make it your own! There is really no certain way you have to create a minimalistic wardrobe - It's up to you!
Thanks for reading the blog! 😊 I hope this post gave you some inspiration on how you can create your own minimalistic wardrobe!
