Hey everyone! Today I am going to be talking with you about thrifting.
Thrifting is not only a super fun hobby, but it is also super great for when you are wanting to get cute clothes for less! (Which is always a plus!)
So in the spirit of all things thrifting I am going to be giving you my top tips!
1. Check through your closet and your dresser and see what you already have and what you need. This will help you make sure not to impulse buy, and to help you discern what you need beforehand.
2. When going thrifting, make a list beforehand. This will help you to make sure you don't buy things that you don't need and to be sure to look for the items that you want.
3. Shop with cash. This will make sure that you don't overspend and it is also really useful when thrifting because most thrift stores don't accept cards.
4. Shop smaller stores. These are great if you're looking to not be overwhelmed by crowds and to be able to shop all the good stuff without much competition.
5. Look in all the aisles. Keep an open mind about these aisles! You never know what you may find.
6. Wear appropriate clothing. Make sure that they are comfortable, and make sure that they are slim enough to be able to fit under clothes that you try on (since some thrift stores don't have dressing rooms this will help you)
7. Follow the one in/one out policy. This is to help avoid you ending up with an overflow of the same items. For example, when thrifting if you see this absolutely adorable pair of jeans - think about the ones that you already have. Can you spare one of them? Would you trade a pair you own for the pair you want to buy? If so, buy it and donate the ones that you have. (You don't have to do this every time, but it is great to help you to avoid over buying!)
Thanks for reading the blog! I hope it helped give you some useful thrifting tips!๐
