Hey everyone! Today I am going to be talking with you about How To Find Fashion Inspiration.
I'm sure that we've all been at the point where we feel stuck and just don't know what to do with our clothes.
It sucks, right?
Don't worry - I'm gonna help you with that!
Today I'm going to be sharing with you my top tips on how to get out of "style-block" as I like to call it.
Alright, without further ado, let's get started!
First things first - You've got to know what you're looking for! Is there a certain aesthetic you want? A certain vibe? A certain look?
You have to determine what it is you're looking for because quite frankly, you can't find inspiration for something you don't know of!
Try scrolling through the web (I 100% recommend Pinterest) and simply type in "fashion", "fashion trends" or "fashion aesthetics".
If you already have something in mind - for example, wide-rim sunglasses, search that! The same applies for finding a style and finding inspiration for an item.
What catches your eye?
If you find something you like, you're already off to a good start. Now you need to determine what that style is. It could be E-Girl, Vintage, 90's, Soft Girl, Indie, Preppy...you get the point! (Remember: Your personal style does not have to fit a certain genre. Yours can be as unique as you make it!)
Now that you know what the style is, you're at the point where you need some inspiration for it. Look through all different types of social networks, websites and magazines and further analyze that style. Ask yourself what makes up that style. Is it the funky colors? The patterns? The dramatic accessories?
Whatever it is that makes that style, It'll help you find inspiration because from there on you can research that product.
Now that you know what style you have and what that style is made up of, you should have some good fashion inspiration!
From there I recommend checking through your closet/dresser and seeing what you can make up that reflects that style. This will get your creative juices flowing and you'll really be able to see, critique and analyze your style.
And of course, if you don't have anything that reflects your style right now, that's fine! You can always invest in products that match it later on.
Thanks for reading the blog! I hope it helped you find some fashion inspiration!😊
