Hey everyone! Today I'm going to be talking with you about How To Dress Expensive.
I don't mean spending a million bucks on an outfit, but what I mean by this is looking chic, put-together, and sophisticated. Giving off a sense of "I know what I'm doing" and "I've got this".
If you're trying to give off that vibe, then this post is for you! And hey, if you're not, that's fine too!
Maybe you're going for the old money aesthetic, or maybe you just want to dress classier in general - Either way, this post will help you out!
My first tip is to get rid of wrinkles in your clothes. Seriously, bring the iron out of the closet and get to work! Nobody will take you seriously if you can't even take the time to make sure your clothes are wrinkle-free. So, make sure you do that!
Utilize neutral colors. If you aren't trying to be too "out there", then this step will really help you get the look your looking for and as a plus - neutrals never go out of style! So, all in all they are a much better alternative to that lime green sweater you've got in your closet.
Make sure your clothes fit your body. This tip honestly applies to dressing well in general and dressing expensively. If your clothes are too tight or just don't fit you well, then you can't be taken seriously. So make sure you either get your clothes tailored or invest in some new pieces!
Shoes, shoes, shoes. A girl's best friend, right? Welp, you'd be a pretty bad friend if you'd let your shoes be dirty, grungy and overall unpleasing to the eye. So, make sure you clean your shoes if needed. A whole outfit can be centered around your shoes, so you want them to look presentable!
Wear accessories. Wearing a dainty pair of earrings or a nice necklace can make your outfit look a whole lot more elegant, so remember to wear that jewelry!
Lastly my simplest steps:
Take care of yourself! Simple steps like washing your face in the morning, giving your nails a manicure, or making sure you're getting a decent amount of sleep at night will help your overall appearance.
Don't overdo the makeup. This doesn't mean you need to trash the bright red lipstick, but it does mean don't cover up all your natural beauty!
Do your hair (or at the least - wear a hat!). You should put as much effort into your hair as in your outfit. People make first impressions based on how you look so be aware of that!
Thanks for reading the blog! I hope this helped give you some inspiration on dressing more elegant/classy. ๐
