Nail Art Tips

 

Hey everyone! Today I'm going to be sharing with you some of my top Nail Art Tips. 

In women's fashion, clothing and nails go hand-in-hand! After all you can't have a super chic outfit and have your nails missing out! 

I'm in no way a "nail expert" but I do know a couple of different techniques to get your nails looking cute!

For my first tip, I recommend starting off with a base coat. The base coat helps the polish to better stick on your nails, thus making it stay on longer. Also, using a base coat helps protect your nails by nourishing them and keeping the polishes you use from staining them.

My second tip is for when you are applying the main color to your nails. When you are applying that first layer, make sure you're using thin strokes! Although you may be waiting longer by doing one coat of this color, and then doing another, this helps you to get a cleaner less patchy look on your nails.

Here are a couple of my favorite tips when it comes to designing your nails:

  • Use the ends of a bobby pin to create polka dots.
  • If you're going for a textured look, put some nail polish on a paper towel and dab that on your nails.
  • For a cute French tip, place a napkin close to the spot where you want the tip to be. This'll help you create a straighter, cleaner line.
  • When you're done designing your nails use a clear top coat to protect your fabulous design and to help it last longer!
As my last tip, I recommend using a nail dryer. This'll make drying time a lot faster!
